Matthew is a strongly motivated workshop facilitator and ASL Interpreter. He began his workshop training at Indiana University and furthered his career in the insurance industry. Seeing a growing need for American Sign Language interpreters, Matthew decided to change his career path in 2008 and entered a community college then transferred to Gallaudet University, the only liberal arts university for the Deaf in the world. While seeking his BA in ASL interpretation, Matthew was called to hold workshops for small businesses to teach basic ASL to better serve the Deaf and hard-of-hearing population. His success as an ASL workshop facilitator has given rise to a paradigm shift in the business industry to recognize the Deaf and hard-of-hearing communities as equals, share their language, and promote a new demographic to build strong business relationships.
